You know you want me...

Since Fang posted the guidelines, I figured I'd add 'em.


Name: UltraPiggy
Languages: English, but I can understand BASIC French/Spanish
Age: 17
Sex: Male (although a lot of people get confused with my character)
MapleStory History: I've been playing for 2 years on/off. Lost most of my accounts due to forgetting names and passwords. XD
Other Private Servers: OdinMS for a few weeks.
MeowMS History: I was there for the very beginning of the server.
Experience: I was a GM for the beginning of MeowMS, and a few people here know how I did my job.
Why I think I can perform the duties of a GM: I've done it before, and I handled it perfectly fine. I think I could do it again, especially since the server will be less chaotic than the earlier days.
A Goal of Mine: Get to know the players, and give them the chance to get to know me, so it's not an awkward situation for players to approach me.

And now for my speech, that you've already read.

Back when MeowMS started, I had GM powers, and I enjoyed it (and looked just like my avatar). I remember Remedy being a GM, and a few others, but I dunno if they still are or not. At first it was a bit tough, deciding whether to do my job right or make everyone happy. I compromised in the middle, and managed to keep everyone at a good level of happiness, while maintaining all of the established rules. I temporarily jailed people that were being nuisances and questioned them, as well as got the other side of the story.

I had several people tell me that I was their favorite GM. I guess it's because despite me being all powerful and GM-ish, I remained down-to-earth, on the level of the players. I refused to level myself using GM codes. I wanted to play along with the players to see what issues arose, and take it from a player point of view, to better solve the problem.

I didn't favor anyone, and I treated everyone the same. Well, unless they were being punished in some way. And even then, I didn't make it hell for those that were jailed. I would visit to see if anyone was there and hold a conversation with them, maybe finding out more of why they did what they did.

But of course, while being a GM, I had a fun time, and wasn't another robotic drone that banned people for looking at them the wrong way. Personality beats out powers, if you ask me. "If you're friendly and can get along on the player level, you'll be able to relate and do your job more efficiently."

And, I'd love to be an event host every once in a while. I'd do anything to host a Halloween event (I was planning something back when I was a GM on MeowMS months ago, actually). If an event needs to be hosted, however, and no one's willing, I'll do it if I'm available. I want to make the game a fun and enjoyable time, like it's supposed to be.

Also, as you can see, I take pride in correct grammar.



And, it also seems that some of the GMs here don't post or anything, which leads me to think that they probably won't be active or even know about MeowMS being back online, so if that occurs, I'd like to be up for grabs.

Wow. You do sound like a good GM.

I totally agree about being personal with the players. No gifting but being around and being known.

I really do think that the player-to-GM connection is more important than almost anything, because a lot of the time, GMs can be intimidating, even if they're friendly. This is because they stay up in GM heaven, watching the players, and hardly show themselves.

I'd love to be well known as a GM... But it would be better if players could look past that shining emblem above my head and see that I'm playing with them. I don't want people running up, screaming, "GM! GM!" I want them to be playing, see me, and say, "Oh, look, it's UltraPiggy up to his tricks again! :D"

And if they need help, they'll consult me, if not, maybe they want to chat. Hell, maybe I want to chat with them. Either way, it's establishing a connection that will further help the experience of both the players and the GM.

Yup Yup.

In fact, it's because of the GMs being so visible and helpful to the players that I stayed with MeowMS. When I first started Meow just happened to be in MapleIsland and scared the crap outta me with hide. It was fun.

Yeah, Meow's always up to something, it seems. XD


Hopefully this time around the GMs will be just as fun.

While you may have a lot of the qualities of a GM, I know that 3 or 4 GMs are coming back for a fact (including me). I think that is enough for the amount of people we're going to have.

I've seen you posting on the forums and you seem like a nice person and everything, but really I need to see how you act in-game to make up my mind on whether you would be a good GM or not. Of course my opinion hardly matters and it is up to Meow in the end but I'd still like to form an opinion on this.

I see what you mean. Hmm... Didn't know we had that many GMs coming back!

I support you and believe you would be a good first choice if one of the current GMs happen to quit or are no longer able to be online. I look forward to seeing you in game when it comes back.

Last time I talked to ppl they were saying they weren't coming back.
It's not gonna be just like before is it?

ultra piggy you seem to really want to be a gm again i think you deserve it but its just a game you sorta acting like your applying for a very important job just remember meowms is just a game where people hang or just want better exp and drop rates lol so yah i hope u become a gm and ill start to play when meow releases it

Well said. As soon as I turned GM I got 5 friend requests. I accepted them but ended up banning a couple of them later. Think I wanted to? Nope. I had to because it was my job.

Indeed. Like I said in my long speech, I treat everyone the same. Friend or foe, they get equal treatment.

FYI, about GM's not posting. I think Fang, myself, and Christopher are the only ones that are GM's that post. Other than that the application looks good.
