4th Job Bandit Skill Question

I just reached 4th job for the first time, and I find that I can't raise two skills, namely Shadow Shifter and Poison Dagger. Even once I talk to ?? ???, they still remain at 0. Is this normal and if so, what is the cause?

Also, once I maxed all my 4th job skills, I tested out Ninja Ambush and Taunt, but although my character does the animation for the skill, they seem to have no effect. They both have Shadow Shifter as a prerequisite, so is this because Shadow Shifter is at level 0 even though I have Taunt and Ninja Ambush maxed?

Apparently you are new to MeowMS.

In MeowMS, many 4th job skills do not work. Skills like Shadow Shifter are grayed out and cannot have points added to them. Other skills like Taunt work, but have no effect. And some skills DO WORK and DO TAKE EFFECT, but they are glitched. For example, Holy Charge will sometimes stop all your other skills from working, and Guardian will D/C anyone on the map when activated.

It is a great disappointment, but you deal with it.
